R&D is proud to announce the immediate availability and new additions to our Sea-Doo ECU Reprogramming Services lineup. R&D has been hard at work testing extensively with the new 2014 Spark and has a variety of new ECU Programs ready and available.

The research and development team at R&D have been testing and developing high performance program files for the new SPARK that significantly improves overall horsepower and top speed performance safely and reliably. The R&D ECU tunes deliver a big wake up call in all performance areas, offering a noticeably large boost in acceleration and up to 15 mph top speed performance gain. The R1 and R2 ECU programs allow maximum performance gains to be reached utilizing 89+ octane pump gas. Entry level programs offer a raised running RPM limiter that’s available in a variety of limit settings. Ignition timing and fuel tables are altered and tuned to safe AFR values for reliable recreational performance. R3 and Stock Class tunes offer the holeshot and top end pull performance needed to dominate in Stock Class competition. All of the R&D Reprogramming Tunes offered below have all been extensively endurance tested and proven in a new production 2014 Spark 60.Trust the pro’s at R&D to deliver hassle free ECU upgrades that offer super clean and crisp throttle response, and unbeatable top speed performance!

R&D has tested and documented the stock Spark 60 to have a top speed of around 42-43 MPH @7100 RPM. Installing an R1 ECU Program into a stock 60 H.P. Spark added a significant boost in low end acceleration and added 10-12 MPH in top speed performance at 8200-8250 RPM. R&D also offers a Stock Class Kit that uses the R&D R3 or PS100 Tune that will have great holeshot performance, offer a huge gain in handling performance, and put up consistent top speeds in the 58+ MPH range.

R1 works great with 89 octane pump fuel. Top Speed range for the R1 ECU is approximately 54-55 MPH. R1 has increased low end power and a big gain in top speed. The R1 would be a great choice for offshore competition use such as the Long Beach to Catalina race where fuel consumption is a concern.

R3 works great with 91-93 octane pump fuel. Top Speed range for the R3 ECU in R&D’s Stock Class/Stage 1 Kit Form range consistently in the 57-58 MPH plus even while using the R&D Aquavein Top Loader intake grate! R3 has increased low end power and top speed over the R2. Top end timing specs geared to safely run 91-93 octane fuel. Note: The R3 ECU is also offered in 8850, 9000, 9250, and 9500 rev limits.

Part # 803-01904 R&D ECU PS-100….Developed for specifically for Stock Class Competition. R&D reprograms the ECU to allow an operational rpm of 8650. PS-100 has aggressive racing ignition and fuel tables geared to pull extremely hard in the low through mid range power areas, and pull hard and quick to peak top speed. RPM’s and top end timing specs geared to run 100 plus octane racing fuel exclusively. Top speeds in R&D Stock Kit using the R&D PS-100 ECU will easily range in the 58+ MPH range depending on water type and conditions The R&D PS-100 ECU is also offered in 8850, 9000, 9250, and 9500 rev limits.


R&D Powershot Adjustable Fuel Tuner

R&D Performance Products, U.S.A. announces the release of the new R&D Powershot fuel injection tunning module and fuel controller. The R&D Powershot fuel injection tuner will deliver increased horsepower, acceleration, and stronger mid-range performance by delivering a higher performing air to fuel ratio (A.F.R.) to the engine. Many of todayís high performance fuel injected four stroke muscle craft have a lean A.F.R. R&D Performance has tested, documented, and analyzed the O.E.M. fuel maps on every current fuel injected four stroke watercraft, and pre-programmed and coded the new R&D Powershot fuel injection control module to safely alter the O.E.M. fuel map to a higher performing and safer A.F.R. (richer). More horsepower, greater acceleration and stronger mid-range are the result when the proper A.F.R. is achieved and is tuned for optimum performance.

The R&D Powershot is fully adjustable on the fly (with the engine running, observed and tuned while riding), and will accommodate a wide range of adjustability to properly performance tune the A.F.R. for any combination of aftermarket parts. The R&D Powershot will add horsepower, reliability, and adjustability to any electronic fuel injected two or four stroke watercraft engine.

R&D Aquavein Intake Grate

The R&D Spark Aquavein Intake Grate will noticeably increase overall handling performance, significantly reduce cavitation, increase acceleration, and add 1+ mph to top end performance in flat water conditions! A 2-3 mph speed improvement (over stock) will be gained in rough water conditions. The Spark Aquavein will deliver a noticeable increase in rear end traction, and top speed stability. Low and high speed cornering stability is also significantly increased. The R&D Aquavein is a must have performance part addition.

R&D Pump Shoe Seal Kit

The R&D Spark Pump Shoe Seal Kit will seal up the pump inlet to noticeably reduce cavitation. Positive Pump hook-up, and top speed performance are increased with a perfectly sealed pump system.

R&D Pump/Wear Ring Seal

The R&D Ultimate Sea-Doo Pump Seal was developed to create a 100% positive seal without the use of silicone sealers. That’s right, no more silicone needed! The R&D seal easily snaps tightly onto the wear ring and assembles snuggly into the stock transom mounting plate, creating a solid seal between the mating surfaces. The new solid seal eliminates cavitation, and improves holeshots, hook up and acceleration.

The R&D Spark Pro Series Sponson Kit offers 2 rider preferred adjustable blade positions that will accommodate settings for the recreational rider or closed course racer. R&D Pro Series Hull Extension Trim Tab Kit

The R&D Spark Pro Series Hull Extension Trim Tab Kit will be a necessary add on to the Spark 60 specifically. The R&D Trim Tab Kit will extend the length of the hull to substantially reduce cavitation and bow jump that will be noticed with the R&D R3 ECU. The added engine power from the R&D ECU will make the spark jump like a dolphin! The R&D Hull Trim Tabs will keep the hull planted, hooked up and driving forward. The tabs have Zero Speed loss, and a big overall handling improvement.

R&D Adjustable Anti-Cavitation Pump Cone

The R&D Billet Adjustable Pump Cone Kit is a creative new bolt on part that adds additional length over the OEM cone, and comes complete with tuning spacers. The extended length allows custom rpm tuning, reduced cavitation and adds additional pump thrust. Precision tuning the pump cones length with the kit included cone spacers will add to top speed while keeping the engine rpm’s stable and out of the rev limiter. Precision CNC machined from 6061 aluminum and o-ring sealed for leak free pump bearing protection. The R&D Cone Kit will offer more precise prop/rpm/nozzle tuning and higher top speeds over nozzle rings guaranteed.

R&D Power Filter Kit

The R&D Spark Power Filter Kit will add a noticeable increase in throttle response and overall power by opening up and allowing more air flow over the super restrictive O.E.M. air plenum box. The O.E.M. filters are known to be over restrictive causing sluggish low-end power. The R&D Filter Kit incorporates and adds needed intake track length proven to increase overall torque and power on 4 stroke engines. The R&D Filter is easy to install in 30 minutes, adds peak rpm’s and power with a great sound tone. The R&D Air Filter element is lifetime serviceable over the restrictive non serviceable stock filter.
