Parts/Kit Overview

The R&D Yamaha GP 1800 SVHO Stage 1 Kit was developed to improve overall engine horsepower, enhance handling, and add to pump efficiency with easy to install “Race Proven” “Bolt On” parts. Each component part listed can be installed and used as a stand-alone product or in complete kit format. The R&D Stage 1 Kit has been extensively tested in all water conditions for performance and reliability. The R&D Performer Kit runs great top speeds all day long on 91 octane pump gasoline. Trust R&D! Over the past 30 years, no other aftermarket company has won more Pro Stock National, Offshore and World Championship Titles! NOTE: Depending on Impellor pitch choice, the R&D performer kit can have higher top speed by 2 mph with impellor choice. The 14/19 will allow the engine to run at 8050-8150, therefore, 80 MPH is achievable while still using the R1 ECU!

  • The R&D GP 1800 SVHO R1 Re-programmed ECU has the top recreational ECU performance upgrades, such as, slightly raised rev limiter settings, raised boost limiter settings to allow increased boost potentials, slightly improved ignition timing advancements, re worked fuel tables that will allow 100 percent reliable power to be gained at a very reasonable price.   • The R&D GP 1800 SVHO Pump Shoe Intake Grate Sealer Kit will seal up the Stock intake grate, pump shoe and pump inlet to significantly reduce cavitation! The O.E.M. GP1800 has ZERO sealant applied to the scoop grate. To gain maximum acceleration “holeshot” performance, sealing the intake grate is a must! Pump hook-up, and top speed performance are increased significantly!

  • The R&D GP 1800 SVHO Recreational Performance Cooling Kit will reduce engine temperatures and keep them stable and under control to 160-175 degrees allowing recreational speed runs after speed runs to be done without aggressive engine heat fade. The O.E.M. cooling kit is highly inadequate for recreational engine packages. Testing on the GP 1800 without the R&D Kit displayed a full 150-200 RPM “Drop Off” and 1 plus MPH speed loss due to heat fade. “Keep Your Cool” with an R&D Cooling Kit! The R&D Cooling Kit has been the kit to use in Recreational, Off Shore, and Closed Course conditions around the world.

  • The R&D GP 1800 SVHO Power Plenum Filter Kit will add a noticeable increase in throttle response and overall power by opening up and allowing more air flow over the super restrictive O.E.M. paper filter located in the air plenum box. O.E.M. paper filters are known to be over restrictive causing sluggish low-end power! The R&D Filter is easy to install in 15 minutes, adds a great sound tone, and adds peak rpm’s and power. The R&D Air Filter element is lifetime serviceable over the restrictive non serviceable stock filter.

  • R&D Power Core Intake Manifold Sleeve Kit was developed to increase airflow into and through the intake system by relieving restriction. The R&D Intake Manifold Sleeve replaces the OEM intake ribbon producing a 40 CFM increase in air flow. The R&D billet sleeve installs between the intake manifold and the throttle body creating a superior Venturi effect. The R&D Intake Kit will add low end and mid range throttle response, and a full 100 plus rpms to top end performance to a stock SVHO engine. The R&D Intake sleeve is an absolute must have part to remove intake restrictions before contemplating power adding compressor booster wheels or turbo charger kits to the Yamaha SVHO engine. True horsepower gains on the Yamaha start right here with the R&D Intake Sleeve. More airflow will equal more overall power.

  • The R&D High Flow Exhaust Kit will add a noticeable low end and mid range power feel as well as add top end performance! The R&D High Flow Exhaust Kit will add a great performance sound to the FZR while maintaining a safe and under IJSBA and Coast Guard approved 86 db! The R&D Hose is super flexible and is constructed from high-temperature silicon.

  • The R&D SVHO intake manifold ribbon remover sleeve will unlock a 35-40 CFM (cubic feet per minute) air flow restriction by replacing the intake manifold ribbon with the R&D billet intake manifold sleeve.

  • The R&D GP 1800 50mm Surge Valve Kit will eliminate the massive off throttle surge that can and will cause compressor wheel, supercharger shaft, and clutch damages and failures. Any high performance race machine with a supercharger or turbo charger installed should have a surge valve kit! The R&D Surge Valve Kit is an absolute must have part for the new GP 1800.

  • The R&D GP 1800 13/20 Pro Pitch Impellor offers excellent acceleration, added mid range pull and improved top speed performance while keeping the RPM’s at a reasonably low range. No one has tested more impellor combinations or has more experience with impellor set ups than R&D. Trust the Pro’s at R&D for all your impellor and pump set up needs. Note: Call R&D for custom impellor services tailored for your desired RPM range and performance. NOTE: R&D recommends the addition of the R&D Dual Washer Kit (Pt. # 132-81111) to eliminate thread galling.

  • The R&D GP 1800 SVHO Pro Series Adjustable Sponson Kit offers 2 rider preferred adjustable blade positions, and an adjustable backing plate that allows Axis adjustments, as well as up and down position options. The R&D Kit will accommodate custom settings for the recreational rider or closed course racer. The R&D precision cast aluminum backing plate and Race Inspired sponson blade will significantly improve low and high speed cornering capabilities, and add unmatched straight line stability. The R&D Pro Series Sponson Kit will reduce high speed chine walking and has also been tested 2 up!
